Just Passing Through
The skies and the hills that were once so familiar.
The places we’ve been that we thought we were forever
and left behind along the road
to where we are today.
They grow softer,
lighter,
less substantial,
more essential,
these memories of all the places
we passed by so many times,
but didn’t really see.
